Working in the retail environment can be tiring. Those of us who do it know what it can mean. Preparing for inventory sometime requires giving a lot more to get the job done. We just finished that preparation and it took a lot and I thought about all the retail workers who share that experience with me. This morning I looked at my LinkedIn feed and saw this video from one of my friends who posted it. I thanked him and felt sharing this was important. I remembered it from years ago about never giving up no matter how difficult it may seem.

The average Walmart employee walks about 13 miles a day. At my store, there are cart pushers who have hit over 30 miles a day. During this recent inventory, I was asked to work longer hours and yes there was a lot more walking. Toward the end I was not sure I could put one foot in front of the other. We all need to dig deep to bring our A game to the table each day. This video from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics is an inspiration to us all.

And please check out my new eBook novel. StarFish: The Evolution of People At Work. It is destined to change how you turn your life at work into a mission that inspire you.

Have a great day. Make it a Masterpiece.
